Welcome to Gedney Church End
Helping each other to achieve and soar
We hope that our website will help you to learn a little more about our small learning community, our amazing children, supportive parents, committed teachers and dedicated governors. Together, we offer a creative and forward looking school where inclusion is at the heart of everything we do.
Creativity is very important to us and we have worked hard to ensure that our children encounter a curriculum that provides enrichment and opportunity in equal measure. We understand that children learn best by seeing and doing, but it is the quality of care, guidance and support that enables them to reach their full potential through excellence and enjoyment.
Visits to the school are actively encouraged. You will find a very warm, friendly and professional welcome. We hope to hear from you soon.

Reading Café Picnic 17 July
After the great success of our last reading café we held another yesterday afternoon in the sunshine. There was a surprise visitor that turned up – Paddington Bear together with his suitcase and marmalade sandwiches. Find out more on out Gallery page.
High Ropes and Laser Storm 5 July
Year 5 had a wonderful day at the High Ropes and playing Laser storm.
The high ropes took some of them out of their comfort zone, experiencing heights and challenges they hadn’t tried before, but they were all so determined and brave! The encouragement and help they gave each other was fantastic. Find out more on the Jaguars Class page.
Education Awards 2019
Mrs Wright attended the Education Awards 2019 ceremony last night. Mrs Wright was nominated by some of her colleagues including Mr Pearson for Inspirational teacher of the year 2019. There were over 30 nominations for this award. Mrs Wright did amazing and became a runner up for this award. We are all very proud of her and everything she does.
Thank you 26 June
The children at Gedney Church End really enjoyed the recent 'drop your books and boogie' in aid of the NSPCC. Check the school's website for pictures of the whole school Conga and the Woodpeckers and Jaguars strutting their stuff.
Today Buddy and Jean from the NSPCC made a final visit and the children received a Buddy thank you badge!
Thank you to anyone that has sponsored your child and helped us raise £233.50 so far! If anyone has sponsor money at home or anyone wants to support this worthy cause, please return it to the office by Friday 28th June 2019. It is not too late. Once all the money is in, we will let you know the grand total.
A huge thank you on behalf of the NSPCC.

This is an amazing amount and we cannot wait to be spending it next term.

George wants to make a difference! 15 May
George has expressed his ideas on how he wants to make our school more economical. George has started by doing a litter pick round our school area, surprised of the rubbish he found. He also encouraged lots more children playing outside who helped him by bringing rubbish they came across. George has some great ideas that he wants to put into action, so watch this space!
