Starting School in September 2027

Is your child starting Reception in September 2027?

If your child was born between 1 September 2022 and 31 August 2023, it is time to apply for their Reception place for September 2027. [lincolnshire.gov.uk]

Applications for Reception places in Lincolnshire open on 16 November 2026 and the national closing date is 15 January 2027. [lincolnshire.gov.uk], [lincolnshire.gov.uk]

Applying for a Reception Place

Applications for Reception places are made through Lincolnshire County Council.

For September 2027 entry:

• Applications open: 16 November 2026
• National closing date: 15 January 2027
• National Offer Day: 16 April 2027 

You can apply online and find further information about the admissions process through Lincolnshire County Council School Admissions.

When applying, families can select up to four schools and place them in their preferred order.

We also welcome enquiries from families who are considering joining Gedney Church End Primary Academy during the school year or in another year group.
