Being Safe in School
You have the right to feel safe
At Gedney Church End, we want every child to feel safe, happy and listened to.
Most of the time, things will be going well. But sometimes something might happen that makes you feel worried, uncomfortable, frightened or unsure.
If something doesn't feel right, tell an adult you trust.
You will not be wasting our time and you won't be in trouble for telling us. We want you to speak up when you are worried about yourself or someone else.
Who can I talk to?
There are lots of adults at school who can help you.
You could talk to:
- your teacher
- a teaching assistant
- an adult you know well in school
- the Head of School
- the SENCo
- the Executive Headteacher
- any adult in school that you trust
You do not have to find the "right" person. Choose an adult you feel comfortable talking to and tell them that you are worried.
